Advising
Prospective graduate students are encouraged to sign up for our email list, register for online information sessions and drop-in group advising, or email advisers for our graduate degree programs and the RDN training program to help tackle questions not answered on our website.
- Join our email list to receive updates about events and admissions information applicable to prospective graduate students.
- Online Information Sessions – Attend an information session to learn more about our degrees and the RDN training program.
- Check our calendar for live sessions scheduled in September, October, and November.

- Drop-In Advising – Bring your quick questions about our graduate programs or the admissions process to one of our virtual drop-in group sessions. Check our calendar for session dates and times from May through November.
- Make an Appointment – If you have questions but aren’t available during one of our drop-in sessions, you can make an individual online or phone appointment with a graduate advisor: FSNH Prospective Graduate Student Virtual Advising.
- Email Graduate Advising – Send your questions about our graduate degree programs to gradnutr@uw.edu. Common areas of inquiry include:
- Information about the MPH or MS degrees
- Degree-specific admissions prerequisites or whether specific courses will satisfy our requirements
- Application steps and eligibility requirements
- Tuition costs and funding opportunities
- UW Graduate School policies and procedures
- Email the RDN training program – Send questions specifically about the Graduate Coordinated Program in Dietetics (GCPD) to gcpd@uw.edu. Common areas of inquiry include:
- GCPD prerequisites
- Other GCPD specifics, including traineeships, the practice experience, or Medical Nutrition Therapy and Public Health Concentrations
