Opening Week events highlighting Food Systems at UW

Don’t miss the following Dawg Daze events for 2023! These events will give you an introduction to Food Systems efforts happening on campus, as well as options for studying food systems at the University of Washington.

Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health Major Information Session

In the Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health Major we are looking at how broken or malfunctioning food systems impact nutrition and health outcomes and how to fix these problems. If you interested in food systems, nutrition, public health, social and economic equity, and sustainability, find out how you can be part of the solution! Attend this session and hear from our adviser, Lisa and learn more about Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health, major degree requirements, and how to declare the major.

UW Food Systems Walking Tour

Join representatives from the Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health Major on a guided tour of campus to explore the University’s food system. Topics will include food resources; how the food system impacts nutrition and health outcomes; how we might increase sustainability; resilience; and equity across the food system; and tackling issues of food security; food justice; and food sovereignty.

RSVP: To help us plan for the event and so we may contact you in the event of any changes, please RSVP in advance. When using the form, note you will be required to log in with your UW Net ID.
