Drewnwoski is a featured panelist speaking June 4 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. discussing, “Healthy Diets from Sustainable Food Systems. What Does It Mean & How Do We Accomplish It?”
This cross-sector session will provide an overview of sustainable diets with emphasis on the healthfulness of our food supply, an overview of the government’s role in sustainable food systems, including what the USDA is doing in this space. The session will also include a robust Q&A with the opportunity for the audience to engage on this complex topic.

Three graduate students from the UW Nutritional Sciences Program and Graduate Coordinated Program in Dietetics will also present abstracts.
Kelsey Schmidt, a doctoral candidate in Nutrition Science and dietetic intern in the Graduate Coordinated Program in Dietetics presents the abstract, “Impact of Low-Fat and Full-Fat Dairy Intake on Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors: A Randomized Controlled Trial,” in the Dietary Patterns category.
