“This Program is a Make or Break Scenario for Me:” A Qualitative Study on Participant Perceptions of a Grocery Store Fruit and Vegetable Incentive Program

Complete Eats Rx is a USDA-funded fruit and vegetable prescription program that is designed to incentivize fruit and vegetable consumption among SNAP recipients via $10 vouchers to purchase fruits and vegetables at a mid-price large scale grocery chain in Washington State. By understanding participant experiences with the Complete Eats Rx program in the context of chronic food insecurity, better illustrates the user experience, determines the perceived impacts and consequences of the program, and can provide ways to improve the program.
