Add a Person Listing
Steps for adding a faculty member to the NSP faculty directory or a faculty or staff member to the CPHN people directory.
Steps
- From the Site Admin Menu, click New > Person.
- Add Title
- In Add title, click once, then type the faculty member’s first and last name.
- Add Bio (Optional)
- In the text block located below the title, click once to type or paste the member’s bio.
- Name Fields.
- In Person First Name, enter the member’s first name.
- In Person Last Name, enter the member’s last name.
- These fields are used to maintain alphabetical sorting in the all faculty view.
- Add Appointments.
- Under the Person Title(s) field, click Add Row.
- Click once into the field, then type the appointment title to list first.
- Repeat steps 1-2 for additional appointments.
- Add Education and Credentials.
- Under the Person Degrees(s) field, click Add Row.
- Click once into the field, then type the highest degree awarded first using the following format:
- PhD, Psychology, The Rockefeller University
- MA, Biochemistry, Oxford University (UK)
- Repeat steps 1-2 for additional degrees or credentials.
- To add bold formatting to the credential, enter HTML in the field as follows:
- <strong>PhD,</strong> Psychology, The Rockefeller University
- <strong>MA,</strong> Biochemistry, Oxford University (UK)
- Add Contact Information
- In Person Address, type the office location and street address.
- In Person Phone, type the phone number using the format: ###-###-####.
- In Person Fax, type the fax number.
- In Person Email, type the member’s UW email.
- All contact information fields are optional
- Add Web Pages
- Under the Person Website(s) field, click Add Row.
- Click Select Link.
- Enter or paste a destination URL and Link Text for the faculty member’s page.
- Click Open in a new tab.
- Click Add Link.
- Repeat steps 1-5 to add additional links.
- As a standard, we include a link to the member’s faculty page maintained by their home department, and a link to their Google Scholar or PubMed listings.
- Categorize Listing
- In the top right corner of the page, click Settings (cog wheel) to expand the publication status properties.
- Under Site Sections, select CPHN and/or NSP to designate where this listing should appear.
- Under Person Types, select the person’s affiliation.
- Add Photo
- Under Featured Image, click Set Featured Image.
- Browse the Media Library to select an existing photo, or click Upload a add a new image.
- Click Set Featured Image.
- Publish listing.
