City of Seattle Food Access Spending Farm Economy Analysis

This project measures the economic impact of City of Seattle spending on food access programs on local farmers, and on the local farm economy.

The purpose of this report is to measure the economic impact of City of Seattle spending on food access programs on local farmers, and on the local farm economy. This analysis was approached: (1) through estimating the total economic impact of this spending using input/output modeling, and (2) through farmer surveys and interviews that allow food access program suppliers to share their own experiences selling to the programs and their own beliefs as to the advantages and disadvantages of their participation.
