Dr. Bornfeldt’s research is devoted to cardiovascular complications associated with diabetes. Her group uses a combination of human studies and research on mechanistic mouse models. Dr. Bornfeldt’s current work is focused on the role of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins in cardiovascular risk associated with diabetes in youth and adults.
