The Role of Adiposity in the Association of Branched-Chain Amino Acids and Metabolic and Clinical Markers in Healthy Adults on Controlled Diets

Using a study of healthy adults on controlled diets, branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) were positively associated with adiposity, markers of inflammation, insulin resistance, and satiety hormone leptin. These findings support the hypothesis that BCAAs are part of a metabolic signature of obesity.


Nutrition Support Assessment in Gastrointestinal Surgery Patients
